Raspberry PI 3 adding 3.5" TFT screen with RuneAudio

Postby zakkW » 12 Apr 2016, 07:09

Hello,
I would like to know if someone already installed and made work a TFT 3.5" screen with touch screen with RuneAudio as described here:
http://fr.aliexpress.com/item/Best-Pric ... wVersion=2
LCD interface is SPI and touch screen controller is XPT2046. I guess it is a common LCD used with Raspberry since a long time.
Some drivers are provided with the screen but how to mix installation of RuneAudio and the screen drivers? I supposed a special image must be created based on the parameters defined for the screen and touch matrix but how to know where and what are the modifications to be performed?
Also, related to low screen resolution, will it be possible to keep the launched page as it is done for HDMI interface...?
Thanks for your feedback and comments.
Regards.

No one? I have almost the same Screen, but Version 3.0. Unfortunately I have no glue about Linux and Arch-Linux. I can only copy-paste

Hi,

installing such a TFT should not be complicated.

https://github.com/notro/fbtft/wiki

- you need to know the used controller
- resolution
- touch controller

And a bit of linux knowledge would be helpfull.

These displays usually have a resolution of 320x480.
To run the local browser you need at least 800x480.
