Raspberry Pi 3 and Mytek stereo-192

Postby sng » 26 Sep 2016, 04:23

Hi!

I installed Runeaudio on my RPi3 and was very delighted to have it working in my setup. However, when I connect the Pi to USB Audio Class2 on the Mytek, it reports 'no sync'.

I understand Linux is Class 2 compliant so is there something missing in my setup (driver perhaps?).

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi sng,

your DAC is selected on the MPD setings page?

Frank

To get the best possible support, please specify your hardware and RuneAudio version. is also suggested.

Hello Frank,

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

The Mytek DAC does not show up in MPD when connected to the USB Class 2 port on the DAC. It does however, appear when I connect to the standard low speed USB port. The message on the Mytek says 'no lock'.

The version of Runeaudio I installed is "release version: 0.4 (build: beta-20160313)". It is installed on a standard Raspberry Pi 3. The DAC is a Mytek Stereo 192 DSD.

The debug info is in "http://pastebin.com/nSvumecM".

Thanks again.

Hi Stéphan

Have a look here https://github.com/lintweaker/mytekusb2

You have a specific driver for usb2.

I don't find informations about alsa version. This is different between 0.3 and 0.4.
If not working in 0.4 you may have to downsize in 0.3
In mytek site i just see information about last macOS not supported.... So may have issues with last Linux kernel and alsa

Hello Popov,

Thanks for the link. I had a quick study of it. I will attempt to compile the driver (hopefully the version issues will not be a problem) and have a go installing it. I will let you know if things go well.

Hi Stephen, I'm trying to do the same thing, compiling the ALSA driver for Mytek 192. Have you had luck so far? seems to be a little complicated to get it working...
