Reboot & Shutdown from Terminal

Postby ICLlP » 18 Jul 2016, 21:39

Occasionally I find the Rune UI unresponsive, but I can log on to my R Pis using Mac Terminal. It's been a while since I tried to reboot via Terminal and it seems I've forgotten the command. I thought it was 'sudo shutdown-r', but it seems it's not. Please would someone remind me what it is?

I was hoping for a simple reboot. How do I get the UI back?
What's wrong with the commands I used in the past? sudo shutdown-r now used to work. I think!

Thank you Frank. That is useful. I'll keep a note.
