remote Control via http-commands

I want to integrate runeaudio in my home-automation...

The only way to control runeaudio would be by using simple http-commands just like
http.\\IP-Of-Runeaudio:8080\source=1
or
http.\\IP-Of-Runeaudio:8080\volume=50

and so on...

ist there a way I can do it in this simple form?
