RPI3 + Hifiberry Digi+ problem with setting up

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set up Raspberry PI 3 + Hifiberry Digi+, but I can't get it to work.

I am using: RuneAudio_rpi2_rp3_0.4-beta_20160321_2GB.img

I followed the instrucions from hondax35 post from here: hifiberry-dac-not-detected-after-kernel-update-t4180.html

1) Firstly I resized partition
Before resizing it looks like this:

Is it done correctly?

2) Then I tried to update kernel and firmware, so I pasted to ssh console this:
pacman -Sy --force raspberrypi-firmware-bootloader linux-raspberrypi
and then this:
pacman -Sy --force raspberrypi-firmware raspberrypi-bootloader linux-raspberrypi

3) I then edited config.txt (I didn't touch "config.txt.pacnew")
*uncommented: dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi
*added line below: dtparam=audio=on

4) Deleted the file /etc/modules-load.d/ras....conf using ssh

5) Changed the kernel name

After inserting Hifiberry digi+ card I can't connect to runeaudio.
What can be done in this case?

for some unknown reason, your HW does not get detected correctly.
please try version.

ok, are those instructions (hifiberry-dac-not-detected-after-kernel-update-t4180.html) the same for this version?

It doesn't work

I chose Hifiberry Digi on the settings page, then power off, then insert Hifiberry card and I can't access runeaudio on my browser.

edit: I have borrowed RPI2 from a friend and it doesn't work too (with Hifiberry card inserted)...
Any ideas?

Hi,

the image works with Hifiberry Digi+ (pro) see .
To be sure not to have a defective card, I would try the Hifiberry .

I tried disabling EEPROM, but it didn't help. Does it matter where do I put this line (force_eeprom_read=0) in config.txt?

About Hifiberry test image:
I installed Raspbian and then established connection through SSH. Does it automatically mean that the card is working correctly?
How can I play some sample audio to test it? [headless - I have no HDMI monitor]

Should I configure it somehow or it should work out-of-the-box?
