Rune asks for, and gets, 2 IPs for a single interface

Something I noticed when I was looking into another problem on my local network, was that Rune sends 2 separate requests to a DHCP server for an IP, which are both honoured because the requests have different Client ID.

Is this the expected behaviour.

You have two network services running at the same time.
