I dont think I have done anything too special. I tweaked mpd.conf just a bit for the DragonFly.

edit: I also disable Airplay since thats not my use/purpose

My setup is:
RPi with DragonFly in one USB and a 7port USB powered hub with wifi and HD with all my music.

I have James Taylor, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder all at 192. Stones at 176. All play just fine.

The funny thing is the other day I ripped an older Blues CD and was getting white noise as it changed through songs....go figure :)

well, let me change the above......the DragonFly can only do up to 96 so even though I am playing 192 files, its being downsampled to 96 which may be why it plays without any issue....DOH!! mea stoopid :)

My dac takes 24/192 files..and do not downsample. But i need to set my dac in UAC 2 mode to play 24/192..but thats not a problem..rune 0.2 support my dacs UAC 2 mode without any extra drivers or os tweaking...my only tweaks are in the Rune settings where i increase the buffer to 4096 and change the percentage to buffer before play to 30%. I also have hardware/software volume mixer setting to disabled. but I dont think tweaking that setting have anything to do with beeing able to play 24/192 files ok.

I stream my flac hd music from my computer...so..even when using both usb for the dac and network. for streaming ( i know they share bandwith) it still plays without any problems....sounding great...on rune 0.3...there are problems, but they are kernel releated...and will be fixed by choosing the older kernel from the rune 0.2.

I also find it a little disappointing that so many packages arent up to date...I do InfoSec for a living and I like to be able to stay up to date.
