Hi All,

Excellent work - I have installed 0.3 OK and am sat listening to my test tracks. The interface seems faster and I saw my NAS effortlessly. ALAC files playing out of the tin.

I use an Edimax EW-7811UN dongle and TP-Link TD-W8960N wifi router. iTunes sees runaudio as an airplay device, but when I pulled my ethernet cable, the music stopped. Also, seems the airplay from iTunes (using my music server as an alternative source) is slightly lesser quality than through the Rune UI.

Update: As I was typing, the available wifi networks popped up - so need to be patient!! :D

Restarting now with no ethernet connected. Fingers crossed!

No joys as yet - Edimax dongle is flashing, but Pi is only showing power LED on.

Reconnected ethernet cable and instantly into UI.

But, my NAS mount seems to have disappeared. OK, then I had three NAS mounts!!!! All deleted and reset the one.

Music is working again. Not sure about the wifi!

Definitely a huge step forward. My project is to have a wireless Pi steaming from the NAS directly into a DAC.

Here's the debug URL:

Great work - thanks!

Jon

Edit to add: great tip on the Google Chrome "Add to homepage". I've just done this and am controlling Rune from my Nexus 7.

So, can I get the Pi to stream to my Nexus/ phone? New to all this computer audio stuff!! :D

I sort of thought I had Rune figured out from all my previous troubleshooting :) and I am reasonably well literate with linux as well although new to archlinux.

However, I so far cannot for the life of me get my manual edits in mpd.conf to stick. I am having the usual trouble with very little volume and want to tweak mpd.conf by hand via ssh, but every reboot it gets replaced/overwritten.

I searched for the default files and found a few, replaced them with mine, but still no go.

Any help would be most appreciated :)

I also need to edit my wireless by hand and dont want that overwritten as well, since I am not broadcasting my SSID and need to put my WPA passphrase in and I like to use the wpa_passphrase command so my password isnt in the clear.....

I have the same problem as some other people in this thread. I add my network share to the db, and it starts updating the library...after updating the library i try to access the the network share, but it says there is no mounts "network mounts (0)"

I read through the debug and it looks like it mounted ok. If I use a mpd client on my pc..it finds all the music when connected to the runeaudio on the PI.

Hey guys thanks for this release!

Here is what I exerienced when testing.

1) WiFi configuration not sticking after first time set up
- eventually it worked after a few reboots/refresh interfaces but don’t know why

2) Airplay name not working if there are embedded spaces for example the name My Speakers
- must -a instead of —name= in usr/lib/systemd/system/shairport.service
- The Airplay name must be enclosed in single quotes if there are embedded spaces

3) Mount function in WebUI requires password to be in single quotes if it contains special characters for example the semicolon at the end of the following password string - abcdef; This needs to be input as ‘abcdef;’ in the WebUI.

4) After reboot, NAS mount has red X. Must use Remount All Sources to get green check mark. The mount is to a CIFS file system.

5) NAS mount shows up in Sources and via ssh in /mnt/MPD/NAS/<mount name> along with all the music files that should be listed in the directory tree, but it does not show up in Library. Library shows (0) NAS mounts.

6) If changing host name in WebUI it is updated in /etc/hostname but not also in /etc/hosts

7) Network time not updating

8) No way to set timezone

9) NTP server name not updating after inputting new name in WebUI

10) Set BerryNOS as the I2S DAC in WebUI but get no sound when playing via Airplay from iTunes running on Macbook Air. Note that the airplay name runeaudio does show up in iTunes and can be selected.

New problems.uac2 mode with my qnktc usb dac sounds like playing the song in slow motion. And it crackles a lot. This is with high rez 24 bit flac files. Tried both kernels . buffer set at 4096 and to prebuffer 30% worked perfect with the old release. With standard kernel even 16 bit cdquality flac files sounds Strange. Alittle bit better with wolfson ready kernel. Sound is ok with uac1 mode. Uac1=usb1.1 uac2=usb2.0. Problem is that uac1 is not enough for 24/192 playback

Sounds great with HifiBerry Digi. Thanks. Tried Airplay and it is visible on my iphone, but will not play through Rune.
