Hi

Just installed 0.3 and it is playing now :D
Using:
WIFI edimax . It found my wifi, but I had to configure it 6 times before it accepted the password :?:
Music on USB drive
DAC = HiFI Berry

Sounds good - can't tell if it is better than Volumio, but the UI is much much better :D

Regards Bjarne

PS: How do I connect to my USB drive via Rune? When using Volumio I just type "\\192.168.1.100" in my file explorer :!:

Hi, thanks for this nice release. Almost working for me. Had to manually configure WiFi to get it working after a reboot, but otherwise it works great.

I only have one problem that might be related to the visualization issue reported with NAS. I have all my flac music on a USB key plugged in the raspberry. All my music appears in the library under USB (~1600 songs). However if I do add to playlist, only the first 201 songs appear in the playlist. The others are not in the playlist. However, when using an external app like mpdroid, all my songs appear correctly. So it seems like the job filling the runeaudio playlist has a problem... All songs appeared in the playlist with the previous 0.2 release. I already tried reboot, force db update, etc.

My debug info is here:

I can provide further info if required. Thanks again.

I had 0.2 working fine talking to a Synology NAS. Using 0.3 Alpha, it connects to the network, same IP address as previously, but after configuring it to look at the same NAS it permanently shows the "Connecting..." spinning icon. Turning it off and on again makes no difference. What information do you need (I can't use the GUI but SSH works)?

Hi

After more fiddling I seem to have also stumbled across the high MPD usage bug. I have disabled the BCM2835 ALSA output, leaving just the USB audio DAC enabled, as suggested in the forum. After disabling BCM2835 ALSA the results of different bit rates, and CPU usage (from the top command) are as follows:

16 bit /44.1 kHz.....1041kbps; 4.9% - 5.2% - Plays just perfectly!!!!!
24 bit /96 kHz........3118kbps; 55% - 57% - Some stuttering if adjusting volume, searching library.
24 bit /192 kHz......4255kbps; 86% - 88% - Constant stuttering, every second or two.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Apologies if I have missed any solutions elsewhere in the thread.

Once again, thank you for all the pleasure you have given me with Rune.
