Yeah I play 24 bit 192k files all the time with no problem through my Rotel DAC via USB. The USB drive is plugged into a powered hub.

Hi Wick,
I use a Benchmark HGC2.
With Udoo and Archphile I have no problem to read music stored on mys NAS Synology.
Achphile is good but not easy to use, and there are not enough radio.
It is why I prefer Runeaudio that I have already installed on an other Raspberry B+ which works fine with HifiBerry Dac+.
I have planned to use a Raspberry with HifiBerry Digi+, and I hope that my problem will be solved.
In fact, I wait for Runeaudio on Udoo, but ACX has a lot of work and so we do not know when the release will be available.

Regards

I dont use airplay, but I think thats the shairport service so you could try disable it with systemctl stop shairport and disable it from starting automatically with systmectl disable shairport

not sure if that will work based on how the scripts startup rune.....

Hi cmh714,

one thing you can try is:
- ssh to your pi
- execute "redis-cli hset airplay enable 0" without the quotes
- reboot

Sadly, neither of those solutions worked, cmh714 and hondagx35. Still the same situation. I suspect there's probably nothing for it but a reinstall, though it seems I'm not the only one with this issue.

if it is the shairport service you could try renaming the executable /usr/bin/shairport to something else
