that trick worked for me. Trying to figure out how to update the documentation. Will do so once i figure it out. Probably not a good forum to discuss this, but is there any definite pro/con with using SSD vs spinning disk for general purposes of a media streamer.

the file name is .mpdignore to be placed in the folders you dont want scanned by mpd
