RuneAudio 0.3 beta has a nice GUI to configure WLAN. Configuration seems to work (select an access point, enter the password, and connect), but then things get shaky. With some access points it works most of the time, with others I never got WLAN to connect and get an IP address.

Even on the access point where I can get a connection, switching between WLAN and Ethernet does not seem to work all the way (after unplugging the Ethernet, I can't connect through WLAN. Maybe the routing tables are not updated, maybe Bonjour is not told that "runeaudio.local" should now answer to a different IP address; It's hard to tell).

Last: I have three identically configured access points at home, and the Pi does not seem to roam to the one with the strongest connection.

What I'd like to ask is this: Is WLAN supposed to work with 0.3 Beta? Or are there known limitations / work to do?
I am just wondering if I should continue to try to use the GUI, or is it better to go to the command line right away.

Thanks! The network problems seem to be gone on my router after the update; I have yet to hear from a friend who had more troubles than I.

Now I stumbled onto the next issue: The Hifiberry Amp+ doesn't seem to be part of Volumio yet. Is there another "dev" branch that I could try (for the kernel, maybe)?

Regards, Martin

Yes, the Amp+ needs another driver than the DAC+. The necessary modules are documented on our web page here:

https://www.hifiberry.com/guides/hifibe ... iguration/

Note that with Kenrel 3.18.x configuration completely changes. In this case you have to configrue it in /boot/config.txt:

https://www.hifiberry.com/guides/config ... ux-3-18-x/

BTW: If the Amp driver is already included (I guess it is), there is no need to upgrade the kernel.

Best regards

I did try to manually configure it, but the RuneAudio Linux isn't the stock Raspbian. There is no /etc/modules, for example (despite the kernel being 3.12).

So unfortunately I did not succeed.

Also, updating the "www" part of Rune Audio (which I did) does not help: Most of the config part seems to be in the database. For a new driver to show up on the GUI, I would have to insert the details of the new driver into the database.

Since I don't know how to do this for the Amp+, I am currently stuck.

Re: RuneAudio 0.3-beta for Raspberry Pi - Music not indexed

Postby pixelriffic » 14 Feb 2015, 00:20

Hi all,

Just installed this version on a B+. A flash drive with some FLAC files is automatically mounted, but no music is in the library. I forced a rescan, and still nothing. The same music is detected and indexed on the same hardware with a KODI install.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The debug output:
