Hi

I have installed runeaudio v0.3 on a pi2.

It works well with my usb dac (atoll 100) with an usb connection.

Unfortunately, with my hiface 1 (it s recognised by runeaudio), i have huge crackling sound.

Is it normal ?

To all those with the spinning circle(s) and the connection issue, I had the same. Mine only started when I configured wifi. For me, the fix is simply starting the "rune_PL_wrk" service. It can be restarted via dev interface. Once started, it's off and running!

playback freezes/stops within first few seconds of FLAC playback each song.
Restarting song playback from MPD controller eventually works and rest of song plays OK.
Very consistent. Occasionally a song plays without freezing.

setup:
raspberry pi 2 with HiFiBerry Digi+ (selected "digi" in config.txt)
Lumin App MPD control point -- http://www.luminmusic.com/app.html
Synology NAS (DSM 5.2) w/ SlimServer UPnP & Synology UPnP servers

runeaudio download is 0.3-beta_20150304
credit page on local rune says: release version: 0.4 (build: beta-20141216)

rune debug info:

just set this up last night. For the most part quite straightforward and painless. - thanks for all the work to make this so!
I’m testing as an eventual solution to replace my squeezebox setup.(so luckily it’s not yet in “production” where the wife and kids would complain)

using MPD - this could be the issue? (saw one note about MPD CPU utilization - but utilization looks OK?)

I currently lean toward MPD since it is UPnP, so (1) does not require mapping the network drive on the renderer and (2) allows flexibility in UI choice (though I very well may prefer rune UI :-)

as time allows I’ll try various configurations an settings to see if there is any improvement and report back. (NAS/Controller/RuneAudio)
