Hi Frank, Hi allz,

first: thanks for the great work on runeaudio, I really love it.

second: my experiences so far

1.
Wifi Setup took me also some cycles, until it worked.
The last attempt, which worked for me, was to hook the pi up to ethernet, and start the configuration with a browser. Chrome first gave me also no results, using safari then worked.
I switched of AP Mode beforehand, I don't think that was a necessity.

2.
I am using a local attached usb drive on a hub, which has about 35 GB of mp3s on it, formatted with vfat. It took considerable time and few boot cycles until I got everything into the mpd db.
rescanning/autoupdating is permanently running after boots for some time, even if no there are no additions to the volume.

After power outs (the Pi is slave to my amp) without shutdown, the database takes some time to be rebuild ... (seems it starts from scratch), but that is to expected I guess.

I am currently testing how long it takes to get new additions into the db.

3.
setting up samba was easy, but I have issues with the shares under OSX, free space doesn't seem to be reported correctly ...
I am using guest user to access the share, with the root user i get errors.

4.
Using the Airplay feature worked out of the box, but the volume is very low, even if the sending device is on max volume. I've had different results with macbook, ipad and iphone on the output volume ... but always it was considerable lower than the local playback.

Q: Is there a config / setup with which i can manipulate the base volume for airplay?

My Setup:
- RasPi 2
- RasPi orig. 7" Touch TFT
- USB Wlan LB Link 802.11n
- allo Boss DAC

My kudos to the team for runeaudio, it's remarkable easy to setup and has a very nice ui
(the buttons and menu is a bit small on the TFT, or you can can say my fingers are a bit too big ;)

really love it

Hi rawshark,

regarding your #2:
Have a look at .
In the course of time the mentioned line number changed to 64 or something like that, but it still works.
I'd appreciate this no-update-function to be integrated in UI, but maybe our situation is incommon.

I love the new UI. Great to see new features being added. I do not have wifi on mine, so I have not tried any of the wifi functions. Other than my initial issue with mounting shares. I do not think it is a mis-configured NAS as it has worked like this for years with the old install of Rune. I am running FreeNAS. The option I added has allowed it to continue to work.

Is lyrics and artist information supposed to work for webradios as well? I get blanks for everything when I select that screen.

Same thing with the screen saver. It does seem to work correctly for music on my NAS on both the screensaver and information.

Looking again and judging from what I see on my LCD Display, you have right.
There is no standard positioning regarding the info provided.
Depends on the radio station.
Thank you Frank

I'm very happy to see an update :D I really dig the automatic access point and lyrics support. The two features I wished for the most. Thanks a lot!

The alsa mixer webui is pretty neat too. Thank you for your time, this update is much appreciated ;)

If I could suggest anything, it would be a consume mode on/off button in the queue tab.
