RuneAudio 0.4-beta for Raspberry Pi2/3

Two issues I've become aware of.

One is that the cover art image or radio microphone image doesn't always show with the first track in a queue. If I refresh the browser window it will show.

The second is that runeaudio.local doesn't work and I have to use the ip address.

I guess both could be network related. ??

PS: Just discovered that runeaudio.local does work in IE11 but not Firefox, Edge or Chrome. (I do have Bonjour installed)

Hi,

on Windows i would try http://runeaudio as described in our Quick start guide

Accessing the RuneUI
You can connect to the RuneUI in several ways:
(Windows) open the following address in your browser: http://runeaudio or http://runeaudio. (works if an Avahi/Bonjour client is installed) (OSX / Linux / Android) open the following address in your browser: http://runeaudio.local

hi, i'm downloading this new image provided by hondagx35 (THX!!)
is there some improvements with the integration of spopd? (like searching albums, playlists, and artists in the spotify database, or reading subscripted playlists?... like in volumio2 for example)
thanks for this beautifull product which changes my life :D

EDIT: auto-response: not yet. the screensaver is a good idea! i notice also the ap mode and the password protected web UI :D great work! (and the wpa passphrase no longer in plaintext in the debug ;) )

Hi,

Thanks for your work in runeaudio, Frank!

I have two questions:

Is Xbindkeys still working/included? A quick test with the new release did not work for me (using a FLIRC IR Dongle, .xbindkeysrc in /root/ is more or less the same).

Were there any changes in Samba? Because I'm having problems mounting my samba-shares [getting error: mount error(13): Permission denied Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)] if share type is SMB/CIFS. If I change to SMB/CIFS (OS X share) it works.
Edit: this is probably a problem of my server. My RasperryPi 1 has the same problem and the problem occurred after I updated to Xubuntu 17.04 this evening (16.10 worked, 17.04 is using Samba 4.5).

Which serving software can be used on the shared network computer to connect to the Rune Audio software on the Raspberry using an Apple computer?

I mean in addition to Airplay (which is standard available within several Mac apps)...
