Hi,

All seems very good, but:

my volume control is very nonlinear - there is almost no sound until about 85%, then it increases to 100%.

The genre list is out of order on android only - EDIT: Sorry, no it isn't - its the folders on my external HD that are not in alphabetical order on Android only (my music file structure starts with Genre folders)

Hello,

I've parsed through this thread and noticed that nobody asked about good old Raspberry Pi 1....

Is there a 0.4 build available for raspi 1 ? I couldn't find it. My setup is rather old (rasp 1 B (not "+") with Hiffiberry Digi (not "+") soldered on, so my upgrade options are limited.

Kind regards,

Olivier

Hello Frank,

that must be a fulltime job ... wow, thank you really much for the rune-audio.
Like promised here is my hint regarding SB11040 (soundblaster USB soundcard):
Within mpd.conf the following lines are generated in a wrong way:
audio_output {
name "USB Device 0x41e:0x30d3"
type "alsa"
device "hw:0,"
mixer_control ""
auto_resample "no"
auto_format "no"
enabled "yes"
}
The device line should be:
device "hw:0,0"
This issue was discussed in the past once:
support-for-creative-usb-soundcard-t343.html
maybe if there is some "low-prio" fix-list for the rune-audio, you can add it there?

Everything else works just fine for me. Just some finetuning I will try to perform myself:
1) "CTRL-Alt-F1" for opening a shell does not work any more
2) Within the graphical output, I cannot see a mouse-cursor ... I expect this is due to optimization for touchscreens ...

I got a tty-shell login using:
systemctl start getty@tty4.service
For permanent access:
systemctl enable getty@tty4.service

And than CTRL-Alt-F4
systemctl start getty@tty1.service
and even 2,3 does not work, but I dont know why ... in my next life I would like to be the linux professional:-)

yeah got it, thank you Frank!

Why did you remove CTRL-ALT-F1? Does it fail somehow?

Btw: I got a fix in the runeaudio.php to fix my SB1140 soundcard bug (see my other post) ...

I am really happy with runeaudio now, just waiting for my HIFIberry DAC+ pro to arrive (together with the parts for the power-supply :-) Unluckily reichelt let me wait:-(

RuneAudio 0.4-beta for Raspberry Pi2/3 : Dac selection issue

Postby zorglub » 05 May 2017, 15:45

Hello,
I have tried the new version of Rune (20170229) and I am facing asmall issue. I first selected a "HifiBerry DAC" into the scrolling list (even if actually my DAC is a ESS9023 based DAC from Audiophonics). So far so good, afterall this option was working fine with the previous Rune version. Then, I moved to the MPD CONFIGURATION MENU but the first box "Audio output interface is stuck": I could not select my DAC. (Actually you have to select your DAC twice?)
Thanks for helping me
