RuneAudio and iTunes library

Postby tomabo » 16 Jun 2016, 09:32

Hi!
It is my first post. I am thinking of using RuneAudio on Raspberry Pi and Hifiberry. I have a basic question about iTunes and RuneAudio. I have my iTunes library located on a network drive and I would like RuneAudio to connect to this library. Will RuneAudio recognise properly the whole library, its structure, tags, playlists, artworks, etc?

I let iTunes manage my library. My structure, and artwork are carried over. Not sure what you mean on tags, artist, album and track info is there, I don't use anything beyond that.

Playlists I can't answer for.

Hi,

playlists will not work, because mpd needs the playlists in its own folder.

Thanks for comments. I have some more concerns:

- Are there similar views as in iTunes, I mean by Album, Artist, Genre?

- Is playback count being updated?

- If playlists are not imported, can I create intelligent playlists, like "100 most often played"?

- Can I sort files by date of adding the song to iTunes?
