There's the System Volume Information directory so it means your USB is not ext4 format. Backup the current data and reformat it to ext4 and try again.

All good now except for a small annoyance....every 10 seconds or so I get a pop up in the left bottom corner telling me my Library finished updating....very annoying.

today an update was found after reboot - and this fixes the Update-notification and playlist-bug. Only lyrics-thing is still there.

Minor issue:
"GPIO" is (again) part of the main menu, although the GPIO-addon is not installed.

OK, fresh flash, fresh format...installed/updated Addons....havent done anything else and still keep getting the Library Update Done ribbon popping up every 5 or so seconds. The only "source" is the USB as I have not done nfs...

so why the heck does the pop-up keep showing? its more that super annoying

small bug:

local browser screen off: you put in minutes (which are saved as seconds), but on a reboot the value is not converted back properly when loading it again and the seconds are used as minutes. So a 1 minute timeout turns into a 60 minutes timeout.
