RuneOS crash kernel on fresh install

Hi runeaudio team,

After some reasearch I wanted to give a shot at rune audio to replace my aging LMS server.

My setup:

1) Raspberry Pi 2 Model B
2) Raspberry Pi PSU (OUTPUT 5V, 1.0A)
2) RuneOS 0.3-beta flashed with USB Image Tool
3) 3 different SD cards (SanDisk, Kingston, NoName)
4) Plugged to an HD projector via HDMI
5) Nothing else plugged in the unit

After a fresh install the kernel crashes somewhere during the booting phase.

I managed to take a snapshot of the end of the booting phase which shows the kernel crash:



Anybody with some ideas why a fresh install would fail like this?

Hi Oberon,

this is strange.

Did you try to boot without the projector and access Rune via its webinterface?
I only had something like this once and it was the usb keyboard.

The unit also crash when I disconnect the projector.

As a side note, I flashed the latest image of Volumio and my Pi boots perfectly. I really want to try out rune audio and I'm a bit lost as to what I should do next.

How can I get a full log of the booting phase?
Can I build a RuneOS image from source?
Can I selectively disable kernel modules?

Any help is appreciated.

Trying the same SD card on a different Pi unit actually solved the issue.

I probably had a defective unit
