Running Transmission on same Pi as Rune - A bad idea?

Postby james_b » 28 Jul 2016, 22:38

I've installed Transmission on the same Pi 3 that I'm currently running rune on in the hope of torrenting directly to the usb drive that's attached to the Pi. I'm connected to my local network / router with the built in wifi chip.

It's running okay-ish, but listening to music and downloading at the same time is very glitchy. I'd expect this if I was using the ethernet port or USB adapter since they're all on the same bus, but I was under the impression that the pi 3's built in wifi was separate? Is this incorrect? If so I'd really like to identify what the bottleneck is here, according to the 'top' command memory and CPU isn't being stretched.

Cheers!
