[Addon] Samba Upgrade

Could you clarify the above instructions please.

The first dialog I get (apart from the warning about not being able to downgrade) is a request to insert a USB drive. Is this just used for the Samba installation or is it needed permanently?

Is the 'server name' mentioned above literally the name of the player I see, ie 'RUNEAUDIO' in my instance? (if I look at this I see three Musicstore network folders).

Your help appreciated.

Ian,

This Samba addon will use 1st USB drive, as /dev/sda1, to create directories and share them for Windows to access. SD card alone will have little to share. If you change the USB drive later, you have to manually edit the shares in /etc/samba/smb-dev.conf.

The server name is the name that shows when you browse network in Windows or when map network shares like \\SeverName\sharename
