I'm running a hifiberry amp+ on my rpi2 b+ with hardware volume control and using an app where I can control the volume, problem is; if I turn it above ~85 it's very loud and distorted. I know I can adjust the volume in alsamixer, but that is not a solution since it is not a fixed max, both the web UI and the app im using "overwrites" it.
What I'm looking for is a way to set a fixed max volume at lets say 85.
(Quick edit, I know Volumio have a max for their web UI, but that wasn't much help either since my app overwrites that maximum).
