Setting up mac as NAS?

Any advice on this?

First, it's a macbook pro, 2015, runnning MacOS 10.12.3 Sierra, the latest one. It's working to control my RPi (3B) with a hifiberry Dac+ via runeaudio. The firewall is off. Runeaudio version is release version: 0.4 (build: beta-20160313)

My idea is that I should be able to connect to this same computer via the NAS Mounts section, so I've set it up as best I know how, but keep getting the error "Unable to find suitable address".

I've attached a screen shot of my settings - any obvious errors?

Try losing the leading "/" of the remote address.

the message displayed means that you have a syntax error in your mount command.
Does your password include special characters or white spaces?
If so please try to use a password without these characters.

Hmmm, no. Password is 6 characters, no spaces. I changed the Username to the no-spaces all lower case version of my user directory, and now the error message I get is "Unable to find suitable address."

Aha - success! It's always the little things that you know, but forget. In this case it was turning on file sharing in system preferences>sharing, and then adding the Music folder to the list.

I also get the same msg
" mount error(13): Permission denied Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)"

I try to use Guest Acces ON
Is this possible?

I have tried also with the Guest Acces OFF but I get the above "big" error msg regarding the blank spaces!
I only have blank spaces on my user name.
I tried to change it but there is a warning on the Mac saying that making changes might damage the account preventing the user from loging in.

Can I do something?
