Shairport old version?

When i ssh and run Shairport:
Starting Shairport 1.1.1-22-gd679d19-dirty
https://github.com/abrasive/shairport
On first page "Mark as unmaintained."


But a fork https://github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync
Seems maintained.


Why does runeaudio uses a old unmaintained shairport?

Nice thing and bad thing about shairport sync is that it can synchronise audio and video. The bad thing about this is that it adds or removes audio samples to do this.

Don't know if this synchronisation can be disabled/enabled.

The last time we took a look at shairport sync it was not supporting metatags:
https://github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync/issues/24
but looking at the latest commits it seems that it's work in progress, so we'll consider it back when it will support them.
