Simple help request

Postby NAP1947 » 01 Dec 2017, 21:38

I have a Raspberry Pi3, HifiBerry Dac+ Pro, and use a Mac.
I am trying to flash the SD Card using Mac Terminal and cannot seem to get the syntax correct.
I am using-
dd bs=1m if=/Norm Files and Apps/Desktop/RuneAudio_rpi02_rp3_0.4-beta_20160321_2GB.img of=/dev/disk4

I get the following error "dd: unknown operand Files"

I searched for this on the net and then added single quotes before if and after .img.
This resulted in this error, "dd: bs: illegal numeric value"

I am not skilled at terminal use and syntax so I imagine that is what I am doing wrong, I could not find a way to do this without using Terminal.

Any help and suggestions great appreciated.

Thank you both for your help, I tried to make the terminal commands you suggested work without success, I am sure this is lack of experience as I am pretty new to the whole Raspberry Pi environment.
Anyway, the Raspberry Pi instructions for Installing Operating System Images on Mac OS first stated to try Etcher, which I had but forgot about.
Once frustrated with Terminal I used it and was successful, RuneAudio is now running on my RPi3.
Now on the using the system.
Cheers
