[SOLVED] Size limits in index/database?

Postby sjbrownrigg » 23 Jan 2015, 14:36

Hi,

Just wondering if there is a limit to how many items runeaudio can index? I have a ~160K collection, mostly mp3s & flac, with a smattering of other formats, about 2TB on disk. Needless to say runeaudio is not indexing most of my collection.

Are there things I can do to size the database, etc.?

This morning I set it off rebuilding the database after connecting a wired network collection to see if this makes any difference.

Happy to contribute, if there is anything I can do to help (testing on large collections being an obvious one!)

Any pointers would be helpful.

Hi Frank,

Thanks for your pointer on this.

Over the weekend I traced the problem back to permissions on the NAS! MPD/Runeaudio are now working great!

Hi Stewart.

Since I have the same problem about large amount of database files, would you like to better explain what you did to solve it? What permissions must I give to the files on NAS to get mpd working well while it is creating and managing databases?
Thank you
