Small stuttering mp3

Hello everyone,

First I want to thanks all the people involved in this project, you are doing an amazing work,and i would like to thank you for that.

So I started using Runeaudio some days ago, after trying Volumio which was corrupting my memory card, where runeaudio works almost flawlessly.

I'm using the following setup :
- pi2
- fiio e07k temporarly, waiting for my iqaudio dac+ to be delivered.
- connection is done with wifi, signal 100% strengh
- files are share using samba from windows.

And I've ran into one interesting problem, I get some stuttering (the song stops one second every 30-40 seconds) but only when I'm listenning to mp3, 256-320 kbs.

When I'm listenning to flac 24/192 5-6 Mbps the music goes flawlessly all the time.

I've tried changing the different buffers size, but nothing, mp3 gives this weird bug.

If someone would like to help me !

After a little testing, mp3 using an usb drive go really smooth.

So it's only mp3 using samba that are causing trouble, flac playing perfectly.

Someone has an idea of the why ?

That's really weird. What about NFS?

I only have windows and apparently to share with NFS under windows I would need windows 8 enterprise mini, so for now I'm just thinking at buying a switch to plus the rp2 with ethernet, or having directly an hard drive pluged to it.

Hey, i have kinda same problem on one RPi2 running DDDAC 1794, thought i share. Few weeks ago i noticed glitches/skips/pops when playing mp3s, FLAC/Wave works like a charm - btw, this is wired network.. I have some other RPi2s with different dacs, no issues on those.. very weird problem, afaik nothing was changed when error started occuring.. when i get the time i will redo the sdcard and see if helps..
