My new soekis dac is connected to the pi´s I2S over the input board and the connector board. I cannot get it to work. It is not recognized in the MPD settings. I don´t want to go the usb way. Hifiberry dac+ works fine. Does anybody know what to do?

what device are you using (RP or RP2)?

If it is a RP2 try to enable Hifiberry DAC in /boot/config.txt.

BTW: I'm also interested in this DAC, please tell us something more about the performance.

Hi Frank,
I´ve got a pi2. Yes, i disabled Hifiberry dac+ in the config. No success. I´m not a linux champ, but I think you need an overlay file for soekris. I´ve tied so many things. For the mement I´m sick of it. But I´ll be back to report on sound quality.

I believe ODROID can help you.
It has separate I2S output connector.
