software volume issue on RPi2 w/ HifiBerry Amp+

hi,
I've had the issue with not being able to control the volume with Rune running on the below hardware.
Raspberry Pi2
Hifiberry Amp+

following Franks instructions to try and fix this issue....

reimaged the micro SD card
editted config.txt to enable the HifiBerry Amp
booted the Pi
ssh'd into it,
pulled latest from git.

rebooted, but now the Pi won't boot. it seems the pull is destroying the image on the card.
I dont get anything from the HDMI.

is the pull from latest nightly build? if so, i'll try again tomorrow.

nobody else seen this issue? Still getting it here.

the specific command to update from git hoses the install of Rune on my SD Card and it never comes back up after a reboot.

Got Moode working but prefer the aesthetic of Rune, so would like to get it working. Though I see there is a lot of work going on on a recode in the background, so would be interested in testing that when its possible.
