(solved) mount music library on USB Hard Drive on Router USB

Just purchased my Raspberry Pi3 and Runeaudio is now up and running. I am very excited to get started but need help in configuring the source music.

My music library is contained on a 3TB portable external hard drive connected to my NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S - AC2600 Router (R7800-100NAS) via USB-Netgear calls this Readyshare. My Raspberry Pi3 is connected to the Router via ethernet cable. Can someone tell me how to configure rune to point to this drive as the source. The drive doesn't seem to appear as a NAS drive but is also not directly connected to the Pi via USB.

The router is 192.168.1.1 (no surprise there) but putting that in under network mount isn't enough to do it.

I hope my noob question makes sense.

Can you access your files from the Windows file explorer? Does \\192.168.1.1 work ?

\\192.168.1.1\USB_Storage\Music\Music

Works in file explorer. I will try it on Pi/Rune when I get home.

And switch the slash: Try to copy for ip 192.168.1.1/USB_Storage/Music/Music (and event. add the user/password)

Hi wonton,

please try:
- IP address = 192.168.1.1
- Remote directory = USB_Storage

or
Remote directory = USB_Storage\Music
Remote directory = USB_Storage\Music\Music

And post the error message if there is any.
