Spotify Connect?

I am helping a friend to make a spotify connect "player" to replace her old laptop that she used as a player for Spotify. i was planning to use a raspberry 3 and Rune audio, if i can use it as a connect client. I use rune and ras. my self but im on Tidal and cant check out the features for Spotify.
So, will Rune work as a Spotify connect player when logged on with a premium account?

Ok. Thanks. It may not be proper to this here, but is it any other solution to use raspberry as a connect client? If not, we are going for a chromecast audio device.
