Dear all,
I am still a very happy user of a Raspberry Pi 2 with RuneAudio and recently updated from 0.3 to 0.4 beta.
Now, with regards to the attached hard drive, a problem appeared. I guess this might have to do with the update … ;-(
I always had and still have a 2 TB hard disk directly attached to my Raspberry.
Content-wise, from time to time, I am updating the hard disk with the newest mp3’s via my Windows 10 PC, over the network.
And now for the strange things:
Unlike earlier times, when I now syncronise the hard disk that is attached to my Raspberry over the network, the sync tool ends with error messages (or even stops working).
I then tried several things manually via Windows Explorer and found out that, when I copy music files onto the hard drive, I do partially get error messages, saying that there is not enough space available.
Needless to say that there is still plenty of space available on my hard drive …
Also, local access to the hard drive (via Windows Explorer or sync tool) still works as it always has.
Some observations:
- I was not able to copy into some folders on the network drive, whereas for the most of the folders, everything works fine
- For these problem cases I created new folders instead and tried to copy the mp3 files into them instead. This partially worked, but only when I only copied a smaller amount of files (e.g. only 20 instead of 50 mp3 files).
- When I then tried to get rid (and delete) the old “problem folders” it seemed to work, however, after some time, the folders appeared again.
- Just to better identify these folders I then renamed all of them to “Zombie”. Now, a day later, the zombie folders seems to have disappeared …
Any idea for this behaviour and what I could do to avoid it?
Manuall sync of my 400 GB music library is not an option.
Could it have to do with the automatic updates of the library that Runeaudio is processing?
Ideas and hints welcome. The only workaround I do see, is to work with a network drive instead of the current locally attached hard drive.
Thanks, Trollpferd
