Agree.. That's a cheap shot to advertise an alternative. I too shall wait for a Pi 3 Rune version...

It seems that certain people see my message regarding Moode is seen as some kind of betrayal to RuneAudio. It is not intended to be.
I am still a happy RuneAudio user on my R-pi B i.c.w. HifiBerry, so it's not that I want people to switch to Moode, so if you will wait for the RA-version for the Pi 3 please do so. But since I got my Pi 3 already and wanted to use it for audio Moode is quite easy (for people with some linux skills) to make it available for the Pi 3. As soon as RuneAudio is available I will try it too. I have tried all 3 offspring versions of RaspiFy (Volumio, Moode and RuneAudio) during the time I am using the Raspberry Pi for audio and all are good but also have their own difficulties.
Although RuneAudio and Volumio are stable there is little development (at least visible to the users - I assume that RA-developers are busy with lots of things including their private life). Moode is a version that is updated very often and I like to be able to test new stuff and also assist in testing new versions.
I also play/test audio with Logitech Media Server variants (Squeezeplug/max2play for the Pi and Daphile for x86), of other MPD-based variants (e.g. AudioPhile Linux for x86)
So, for those who have a Pi 3 but want to stay with RA just wait a little longer and enjoy RA :)

MSH,

I'd like to offer a constructive comment. If you can't see why some of us objected to your post, can I suggest you 'phone a friend' and get an independent trusted opinion...?

One way or another, we are a community here, and we like the product and support the development team. Some of us have made contributions to the project because we appreciate and value what they've given us. And so, given all that, if we're told that a Pi 3 build is a day or two away, why look elsewhere?

Regards,

Trevor

MSH, thanks for the info, it gives me something to do with my new Pi (first one, exciting times!) whilst I wait for Runeaudio to be updated.

That's not constructive, it's a terribly outmoded way of saying "You're wrong we're right." The irony of someone with the username Discovery trying to stifle information is palpable.

I am running brutefir with Rune Audio. I love the new option of the GUI on tv. I tested it and it works great. But I don't want to lose the option to use mpd to pipe to brutefir.
When rebuilding the image will you be able to compile mpd with "pipe" enabled?
Thanks

I have a Pi 3 kit to be delivered shortly. Is the RA for Pi3 available for use now? I have read that Frank had it working already?

Cheers

First post.
And ... I'm French. Sorry !

I'm also waiting for the new RA image, but, I've time enough, and then, no stress, take your time.
First post, first PI, I ordered the third, and already received it, and it will take place instead of a noisy CPU. Hope it gonna be fine.

I just can't stand listening to my CPU's fan while listening to music, so, i guess it will sound better.

Just... sorry for my poor English, hope tant our Rugby team will be better than I !
Regards,
