Apologies for asking Frank. I also have assumed this forum is as friendly as others. I'm out of here...Thanks.

@reddyshoey: I have to invite you to use a more polite language to express your ideas, let's keep the discussion friendly.

@all: continuously asking for an update won't make it come earlier, it will only distract us from the development to reply here at every request. So let Frank work, he knows what he's doing and he will notify everyone when the image is ready to be published.

Hi All Rune audio fans. Just signed up.
I have just bought a x400 to go with my Pi3, and Im hoping to use Rune Audio to be the glue that lets me integrate the following features;

-DAB via a USB dongle (Linux support confirmed)
-Streaming/IP/Internet Radio (Via Pi3 onboard wifi)
-FLAC/APE/Mp3/etc playback from NFS/SMB/USB sources
-Playback of optical media (USB DVD Rom)

I want to build the pi+board into a slim profile hifi case from silverstone and feed it into my cambridge audio reciever. I think its doable, if the software can do all of those features.

Want to pre-emptively thank you for working on a Pi3 version - nothing much works with my pi3 at this stage unsurprisingly, but I would be very keen to see the next iteration of Rune Audio (hopefully a 64bit version too!).

In eager anticipation
-D

Hi all,

the image is ready.

What does it include and does it work?
- Works with RP2 and RP3
- RP3 is recognized as RP2 (this is because no 64bit Arch Linux is available for RP3 yet see )
- RP3 wifi module works and is enabled by default
- to configure your I2S DAC you have to edit "/boot/config.txt" as known from RP2
- MPD is version 0.19.13-dsd (see )
- MPD is compiled with pipe as output option
- mpd-watchdog is installed and enabled by default (see )
- global random () is integrated and can be enabled via UI (MENU->MPD->Global random)
- the "local browser" feature is included and can be enabled via UI (MENU-Settings->Local browser)
- support for the official 7" TFT is included (display rotation is selectable in /boot/config.txt)

What does not work?
- Bluetooth module (drivers get loaded but i was not able to use them yet)

Not all features are fully tested, please feel free to report.
RP2 users with no USB wifi dongle should disable it ("systemctl disable netctl-auto@wlan0) to get shorter boot times.

At the moment it is only available from my Microsoft One Drive, sorry for slow download.

Wow Frank. I might get a RP3 just to try it  Plus you added ashuffle!

As a long time lurker and just had my 1 year anniversary as a forum member, I've been impressed by your patience and answering the same questions repeatedly.

I've try hard to ignore the 'when is the next release' and just enjoy RuneAudio 0.3 in my RP B+. I'm running Rune Audio *daily* and really enjoy it. Just ask my friends.

Good job.
