Topping VX1 DAC

I have a Topping VX1 DAC connected to the Raspberry Pi via USB. How do I set the Pi to send audio out via USB?

Totally green on this, so sorry if this is a silly question!

Hi clayharris,
have you already checked if your DAC is correctly detected and listed in the "Audio output interface" select menu in the MPD section (MENU > MPD)? If yes, just select it - it should work on the fly.

1st great job for runeaudio and it's support and forum. It' a very good alternative to my old squeezebox system....

I'd like to setup a small installation in my bedroom and I'm planning to purchase some Topping VX1.

I'm wondering if the VX1 support hardware control (volume control) with runeaudio ?



Can you confirm please as VX1 has my prefernce...

hardware volume will work, but not out of the box.
The DAC (Topping VX1) has to be added to our database.
