Hi,
I'm very grateful indeed for any help anyone is able to give me. I'm fresh onto this forum so please point me to other threads if this has all been dealt with but I couldn't find an answer searching the forum.
I've just built a RuneAudio streamer using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and a HifiBerry Digi+. It sounds amazing pumped through my CD player's DAC.
But so far I've only managed to run files off a USB stick plus Internet Radio. What I really want to do is for it to access a file share over my home network from OS X Server running on a Mac Mini.
I have set up a folder share //Users/Shared/Music and set up a new user called Streamer and given it access to that folder. I have also given that folder guest access, all as read only.
I have then gone onto the RuneUI and tried to mount the share. But it keeps giving me the error:
mount error(115): Operation now in progress Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
I'm completely stumped. I've tried every combination of "IP Address" (only the server's written name seems to get us anywhere at all, rather than an IP address) and "Remote Directory" (by including and excluding various portions of the full Users/Shared/Music path). I'm using "SMB/CIFS (OS X share)" on the Pi. I've tried with a password and guest access On OS X I have shared it using both SMB and AFP.
Any ideas what else I can try?
Many thanks
