Trouble setting up wifi

Postby avatar_888 » 19 Feb 2016, 17:26

Hi, I'm trying to setup Rune Audio for the first time. I have it running and a wifi dongle plugged in but I can't get it connecting to my network.

From the network page I see the interface wlan0 and within that page it lists many networks. However, my network is not amongst them.
I also tried clicking 'Add new profile' but this just brings up a blank page with the title 'WIFI SSID CONFIGURATION' and nothing else (tried both Chrome and Firefox).

Any ideas how I can configure the wifi? I have connected the Pi with this dongle to my wifi using other OS installs before so I know it should work.

Thanks!

Hi avatar_888,

please try to your installation first.
I would recommend the update to the nightly build.

Is it a RP1 or RP2?

Thanks for your reply. I'm using a Pi 1. I made the update and the 'add new profile' page now loads correctly so that's good.

I still don't see my network listed under 'networks in range' (although many neighbours' show up).
When I add new profile manually it gets added OK, then I click it and choose connect, but it just takes me back to the previous screen with nothing seemingly changed. Returning to the Network page it still says WLAN0 [no IP assigned] with the red cross so it seems like it's failing to connect.

What do you think?
