Tubio with Runeaudio

Postby dror » 12 Jan 2016, 13:11

Hello,
After constantly failing to setup an Airplay connection working with my Rune, I went to the DLNA option.
I found an Android application called Tubio which claim to broadcast from YouTube (and others) to any DLNA/AirPlay compatible device.
So I gave it a try - AirPlay of Rune is not recognized at all, the DLNA renderer is recognized but selecting it doesn't make RuneUI change its state to DLNA (DLNA is grayed out and it stays on "MPD" but with the stream address written in the song name position). Same happens when trying to use DLNA with AllStream.

We be glad for any help

You can try Bubble UPNP which does exactly the same as your Tubio. BubbleUPNP works perfectly with Rune, for me. I can cast local music on the phone, "cloud" accounts (Spotify, Qobuz, ....)

Hi dror,

Tubio works perfect on my device (RP2 and Hifiberry DAC +).

I also checked the green LED on the DAC and it only turns on when music is playing.
Did you check your volume settings?
Does RuneAudio work with files stored locally or on a NAS?

Hi

DLNA solved: under settings, toggeling DLNA off, applying, then on has made it to work :) AirPlay still doesn't, and I'm sure would be glad to fix it..
Anyway I'm pleased, as stream from UT was a great need of mine

cheers

btw, I was trying Tubio since it says to connect with AirPlay, and I thought of trying it for testing my problem..
