Turning off runeaudio and pi

Postby goldenyears » 10 May 2016, 13:33

I'm wondering if am shutting down runeaudio correctly. I click on power off from the UI and all I get are the spinning arrows - nothing changes even after waiting 10-15 minutes. After that I disconnect the Pi from the mains but am worried that it isn't shutting down correctly subsequently damaging the pi. Am I doing it correctly?

Thanks,

Al

Hi Al,

you have to watch the power and status LEDs.

RP1/2 : red (power) = on & green (status) = off => shutdown
RP3 : red (power) = on & green (status) = on => shutdown

all : green (status) blinking / flickering => active

I'm running a pi2 with iqaudio dac+. After clicking power off the red light of the pi stayed on and the green light next to it flashed a few times and was solid for a few seconds. The green light has subsequently dissapeared and I'm left with the red light.

It's off right?

Thanks,

Al
