In the main 0.3-beta thread, it was suggested to me to "inspect element" on the spinning layer and delete the loading node. That worked for me, I know it's not a permanent solution.

You could do this to hide the "Connecting..." layer permanently:

This would not fix the real issue behind that anyway, but we are working to fix that.
