First thing i would do is to test network performance on booth devices.
A good tool for this is .

rasp1 and rasp2 does it mean RaspberryPi1 and RaspberryPi2?
Connected over ethernet or wifi?
If wifi, with same dongle (brand and type)?

mpd version on both systems?
have you compared mpd.conf?
