Unicode Characters in Songs and Folders

Hi,

I have a large library of Greek songs where all folders and song titles appear with non Greek-Unicode characters ü, ö. Is there a way to have this changed?

locale returns results, while the second one does not return anything...

sorry but i have no access to RP1 at the moment.

You can try to set the correct locale for your country, please try .
After setting the locale you should also rebuild your music library.

I followed the following steps:

vi /etc/locale.gen

uncomment the lines:
el_GR.UTF-8
and
el_GR.ISO-8859-7

save and exist.

run the "locale-gen"

Rebuild the database.

Some of the lower case letters still seem to be in hieroglyphic format. Can you please advise if the process followed is the correct one? and if any further steps should be done?

i'm not an locale expert, but i would only enable one.
In your case i would try el_GR.UTF-8.

That was my first action, which had the same results. Googling around i found that people advised not enabling all of them, due to performance, so i though two would not mind. But still.

Strange is that now only capital letters in songs appear strange. But capital names if folders appear ok.
