USB drive won't mount (solved)

Postby skootx » 01 Oct 2016, 23:44

Just finished assembling a Pi 3, with HifiBerry Digi and 7" touchscreen, and installed the latest runeaudio image. I am trying to use a Western Digital My Passport Ultra 1 TB USB drive. I am powering the drive, Pi and screen with a powered USB hub. The USB drive lights up and vibrates subtly but does not mount. It does mount on my Win 7 machine. The drive is NTFS. I have enabled Auto USB mounting in Runeaudio.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Never mind, I figured it out. Stupid mistake. The USB power to the Pi is only power, not data. Once I hooked up the Pi's data USB port to the USB hub, the drive mounted right away.

Do you have a different power supply you could try?
