VANA compelte streaming system for RPI and other SBCs

Postby Audiohrdwr » 23 Sep 2016, 17:08

Hi to all RuneAudio forum members.

We are a manufacturer wanting to present our new hardware to this community.
We hope to open a discussion about our boards and we would like for some of you to even open their ears and listen to it.

Vana (means music in Sanskrit) is composed of:

Sparky, our quad core SBC (but you can also use the audio boards with RPI)
Kali, the reclocker board that sites betwen the SBC and DAC and synchronizes the clock in order to eliminate the jitter.
Piano, the DAC with 2.1 subwoofer out... we have isolated the digital and analog and we use 2 ICs out of which 1 has a DSP on board.
Volt, our 2 x 50W amplifier
CM, is a capacitance multiplier board that cleans the noise and jitter from the power source of the amplifier.

I can share more technical info if you guys want and can also answer your questions about it.

Kali is the flagship product here...reviews so far have been very positive so far.

So here it is... Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

Hello,

sounds interesting. I would like to ask whether it would be possible to place your Kali in-between a RP3 and a Hifiberry Digiplus?

My current setup uses a Raspberry Pi 3 with a Hifiberry Digiplus (transformer version). The Digiplus sends the audio signal via electrical output to an external DAC (Atoll Electronique).

Thank you, Christian

I think the Digi+ takes 5V, i. e. from the RP3.
Because I connect the DAC via SPDIF coaxial the DAC itself might be considered to be slave in this chain. At least I couldn't figure something else from the (short) manual.

Just curious: What would happen if the DAC would be master too?

Maybe I should try ...

Thanks!

hi,

After KALi to SPDIF... then master or slave dont matter no more...

i would say (its just me) to use KALI and PIANO combo...
100% guaranteed satisfaction.

Been reading lots of good and supportive feedback on various forums (fora?) from people who've bought early, or to whom you've sent evaluation items.

Having spent a lot of time and effort on my setup, which is a Pi2, IquadioDAC (although a Mamboberry LS DAC is on it's way), a 6N3 based pre-amp feeding a TPA3116 amp (much modded) I am curious to try a Kali, to see what it provides over and above what I have, and what I'm quite happy with.

Shall you be offering any discounts here, as you have done on other forums?

Hi,
Is RuneAudio compatible with the Kali and Piano (or vice versa :))?

Thanks
