View Rune Desktop on Windows PC

Hi Guys....
Bought my Pi3 a couple of weeks ago and it is an absolutle nightmare. I wish I were a school kid as it may make some sense....

Instead of blindly downloading stuff I do not understand, I was hoping for some advice/answers??

I want a Audio box on the pi attached to my ethernet (cable no wifi) and I want the Pi to have attached HDD and the output of the music goes through HifiBerry Digi+ (arrived today with no instructions, so that will be a problem)...and this goes into my external DAC...then music...

But...big but and OpenElec could not do it... I am still waiting on Voluminus....So can I run the rune from my PC???...what I mean, I do not have a spare keyboard/monitor etc...so I want the pi to sit in a rack or cupboard and I see and control the rune screen and software from the Windows 10 PC...not a smartphone, not an android device, not a TV remote...but the PC....

For a non-Pc person, I consider this a reasonable request....but so far it would seem this is a strange request?????? I use Tight VNC at home....and this is not a problem.....but???

Thank you for your response. It was clear, quick and understanding. Thank you. I have found that because of my explainations and having no experience with a Pi most ignore me or treat me like dirt. You are totally different....Thank you.

So what you are saying is Rune is for me??

When it comes to lines of stuff... I have no idea.....

How and where do I put the code?

You mention....Remove the # in front of the hifiberry-digi line.. I do not understand....

I have my daughters PC with the card reader....so I will have to log on to here....and use that...

I do know the Ip address of the Pi3 - that is the only thing I know I can to the rest is really scary....

Lot harder than I thought... Daughters PC cannot get onto your website... I will download the file and transfer it to a USB and will put it on the PC....Then somehow I will copy it to the Card....it says it will take 10 hours....

Oh...what have I done??????

Sorry... I am an idot... I am watching it download...it says it is a Paint Shop Pro 8 image...is this correct??

Do I have to do anything with the file? I just copy it... is that all ...it is not compressed or something? I found some files were compressed and they did not work...

See I have no idea....

(still 7 hours....) I will tell the children to go to bed...

Do not use the one from the onedrive link!

I am calling it a night...late out in the Aussie bush...not computer experts anywhere near me..ha-ha

Still have 6 hours.

One last queston...I used the HifI Berry installer (really easy)...what do I do with the stuff on the SD card...how do I get it off so I can put your stuff on it... I did ask about Rune on the installer...but nothing yet...it was not a long time ago...so that is not a problem
