volume control doesn't work when scrolling

Postby Elliott B » 15 Jan 2014, 11:25

The round volume control in the playback web interface can be adjusted by scrolling up and down on my mouse, however, it doesn't actually change the volume. Clicking and dragging on it works fine, but I would prefer the scrolling. I've only tried this using the software mixer.

That's a known bug, I had to disable that behaviour because changhing the value with mouse wheel was in fact flooding the MPD daemon with "set volume" commands (one for mouse wheel step...). I'm in contact with jQuery Knob's developer to achieve a working solution for our use. Thank you for the bug report.

sorry to revive this.
Rune 0.3 beta, raspy, updated RuneUI from git.
Firefox 36 and Chrome 41, it appears on both.
Ubuntu 14.04.2 lts

trying to adjust the volume by mouse scroll wheel works fine ONLY if I go slowly e.g. by 1 step.
If I scroll faster it starts jerking, to let you understand it's like it's skipping/slipping volume numbers, not precise and nearly unpredictable.

FWIW on volumio this works perfectly even with fast scrolls and volume control is always precise.
