Wifi and installing Nightly Build Not Working (solved)

Postby caolanmck » 21 Dec 2015, 17:38

When trying to install wicd on runeaudio, I get an error telling me that there isnt enough disk space in /var/logs. Expanded partitions and filespace, still the same. Tried updating to nightly build to see if wifi would then work, but it says that its refusing to delete /var/www/

(I am running a RasPi model B on version 0.3)

Hi caolanmck,

- why installing a network manager?
- /var/log is tmpfs and not located on your sd card
- wifi works on the dev branch

Please try again to update to the dev branch (nightly builds).

I tried to install a network manager because I read in another forum that you use wicd to get wifi to work, and when i tried to install it, it said that /var/logs doesnt have enough memory.

In order to install the dev branch, do I absolutely need to delete /var/www/? The pi keeps saying "refused to delete"

just tried to connect to RuneUI, saying file not found, does this mean that it did in fact delete it?

(EDIT: I am currently downloading the update now, we'll see how it gets on...)

Ok, got the nightly build installed and working, and wifi worked perfectly, until now, its just throwing up a kernel panic on boot (EXT4-fs, partition 5 - error loading journal?)

Should I just reflash, reexpand partitions and filesystem, download nightly build and connect to wifi again?
