Wont play artist off directly?

I got the pi 3 and alls perfect but i noticed, when i got 20 artists or even one and i click the 3 lines to open the dropdown to make my selection to play all the songs that artist has, it doesnt do nothing.. But if i open the artist up and select one album in that and hit the 3 bars to open dropdown and do it there it works? Obviously it is meant to work with the artist as why else would the option be there apart from torturing us but i am confused on why it doesnt work?

Can someone help me out here?
Its the same issue with genres, if i select a genre made up of 50 tracks and try add the entire genre it doesnt do nothing but if i open the genre up and hit the dropdown and add there it works?

Any help appreciated.

This is something I've also been waiting quite some time for but it appears to have been parked?

Maybe someone may know of a way this could be implemented manually with a small piece of code

Hi frank,

For genres, pretty much the same thing? Click on the 3 lines to open the menu and click add, replace and play and itl add the entire genre to the queue removing the previous songs and then playing the first one? Same commands like play, add and play?

Would that be possible?
Some of the Genres i may have is like: Pop, rock etc. When i open up that it shows all the songs matching that genre correctly so i am hoping to just add the entire genre to the queue and play (Using the commands above).

Hi Frank,

I know your busy especially from me asking questions like every 10 minutes haha but i am in dear need of this feature! I have hundreds of songs and would love to be able to add the entire genre to the queue without having the need to manually add. Same for artist. If you can get one of the two working or even both then that would be amazing!!

Perhaps you already accomplished this and i need to update or?
Let me know what the updates are with this feature fix.
